Learning Objectives: • Contamination, toxicology, and contamination prevention • Technical and emergency decontamination • Patient, pre-hospital, and hospital care • Air sampling • Atmospheric hazards instrumentation Required Materials: Proof of Hazmat Technician Training required prior to or at check-in; Shower facilities available at course site. Participants will need to provide their own towels and toiletries; Students should wear seasonally-appropriate clothing when participating in hands-on field exercises related to hazmat emergency response or cleanup operations; Each student is required to provide their own personal protective equipment (hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes or boots and safety glasses). Gloves and breathing apparatus will be furnished. Firefighters and others with SCBAs may bring them, though it is not necessary. If you bring your SCBA, we can arrange for cylinder refills (2216 and 4500 psi). Technical Requirements: Notebook and handouts |
