Learning Objectives: The complete life-cycle of a PV system from analysis to design to operations and maintenance Design topologies Trade-offs and “inflection-points” for making decisions for such systems The appropriate inverter and interconnection topology to and from the inverter How to analyze array mounting options in addition to other mechanical considerations Perform system and string sizing How to identify potential problems and how to diagnose and take corrective actions How to read and evaluate project set plans Required Materials: Recommended Prerequisites: High school math including algebra and basic trigonometry Basic understanding of electricity and power distribution Materials: A PC or Apple Laptop that is able to run downloadable software Internet access Technical Requirements: Course materials Software links |
