Learning Objectives: The basic concepts of near-field antenna measurement; Procedures for mechanical and electromagnetic set-up of a near-field measurement; Near-field probe selection and characterization; Best use of planar, cylindrical, spherical, probe array and robotic near-field ranges; Errors and uncertainties of near-field measurements; Near-field range characterization and compensation. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: Printed copy of the course notes. |
