Learning Objectives: Principles of antenna measurement; Procedures for mechanical and electromagnetic setup of an antenna measurement; Requirements and instrumentation for impedance, gain, and polarization measurement; Differences among far-field ranges; anechoic chambers; compact ranges; planar, cylindrical, spherical, probe array, and robotic near-field measurement ranges; Procedure for performing antenna pattern measurement; Range characterization and compensation techniques; Microwave holography antenna diagnostic techniques.
