Learning Objectives: Radome and antenna electromagnetic fundamentals; Definitions of gain loss, polarization loss, noise Increase, boresight error, pattern distortion, and sidelobe increase of radome enclosed antennas; The variety of materials used for radome manufacture and their physical and electromagnetic properties; The effects of the radome on the electromagnetic performance of the enclosed antenna; Techniques for the electromagnetic analysis and design of radomes; Techniques for radome electromagnetic measurement and diagnostics. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: Printed copy of course notes. |
