Learning Objectives: Describe operating principles of infrared systems; Explain major functions and components of an infrared system; Explain differences between FLIRs, IRSTs, NVGs, and between missile seeker types; Describe graybody radiation signature generation mechanisms; Describe the differences between cooled and uncooled detectors; Explain the goals and promise of advanced generation sensors. Required Materials: This course is restricted. All attendees must be US Citizens and submit the Access Eligibility Form. Laptop computers will not be permitted in the classroom and storage will not be available. Please fax the access eligibility form to 404-407-8691. Technical Requirements: This course is restricted to US citizens who are industrial and/or government employees and complete the Access Eligibility Form.
