Learning Objectives: • How to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement • Significant Energy Uses (SEUs) • Simple performance metrics and how to justify its use • A review of energy • Simple ratio and regression models • Objectives, targets, and action plans • Forecast, backcast, and chaning methods • Measurement and verification (M&V) protocol • Operational and maintenance criteria • How to monitor and measure plans for key characteristics Required Materials: Pre-Course: Understanding ISO 50001-2018 (ENER 3103P) Learners must obtain a copy of the standard ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Systems – Requirements with Guidance For Use. The standard may be purchased through the GT Marketplace (https://epay.gatech.edu/C20793_ustores/web/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCTID=4415), the American National Standards Inst. (ANSI) (www.ansi.org), and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) (www.asq.org) Headphones Computer with the following minimum requirements*: Operation System: The latest versions of Windows (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or better) or MacOS (10.3.9 or better). Browser: The recommended browsers for web-based content would be the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari. Applications: To access video content, it is recommended to have the latest version of Microsoft Silver, Windows Media Player, or FlipMac. In addition, you will need access to the latest version of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. *If the above requirements have not been installed, please ensure you have administrative access or a local system administrator available to install them on your computer. In some cases corporate firewalls and proxy servers have been known to prevent viewing of the modules in this course. Should you experience difficulty viewing the presentation (streaming video) you should first contact your network security department to determine if you are allowed to access streaming video coming from an outside video server.
