Learning Objectives: • Understand the key components of the logistics supply chain. • Appreciate the importance and role of supply chain management within MARCORLOGCOM • Understand the contributions of a supply chain approach to organizational efficiency and effectiveness-including within and between supply chain entities within MARCORLOGCOM. • Be able to describe the benefits that can accrue from implementing supply chain practices, the challenges and issues which face organizations in developing and implementing supply chain strategies. • Identify, plan, source, and implement management actions to acquire, store, issue, and/or dispose of all required supplies and equipment to support the customer at the optimal life cycle cost.
