Learning Objectives: M&S fundamentals from engineering-level to campaign-level models Radar and EW fundamentals M&S of antenna functions and applications, including antenna EP Modeling of radar waveforms and their corresponding signal processing M&S of EA waveforms and techniques Modeling examples of radar EP Modeling examples of ES functionality MATLAB & Simulink programming environments Required Materials: Recommended Pre-requisites: DEF 3501P - Basic Radar Concepts OR DEF 3502P - Principles of Modern Radar OR their equivalent DEF 2501P - Basic RF EW Concepts OR equivalent EW knowledge For virtual offerings, learners will be responsible for providing their own MATLAB and Simulink software, version R2020a or higher. Minimum components required are the following: • MATLAB • Simulink • Signal Processing Toolbox • DSP System Toolbox Learners without this software may still attend the course but will not be able to run the models of participate in the practical exercises. Technical Requirements: Downloadable course materials (slide decks, lab guides, student handouts) are available from the GT campus course platform. |
