Learning Objectives: • Introduction to OSHA standards, the OSH Act, 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1960 and Executive Order 12196 • Standards for electricity, material handling, walking and working surfaces • Hazard communication • Introduction to accident investigation • Office safety, personal protective equipment, industrial hygiene, fire protection, and means of egress • Inspection field trip, write-up, and review Required Materials: Safety shoes, safety glasses, and appropriate clothing are REQUIRED for field exercises; OSHA's 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standard: 1900-1910.999 and 1910.1000 to end (available for purchase through Georgia Tech, but must be purchased prior to the course start date). Participants must present photo identification upon course check-in and onsite registration. The Georgia Tech OSHA Training Institute Education Center will verify the identity of each individual attending an OTI course. Technical Requirements: Course notebook |
