Learning Objectives: Core concepts associated with embedded software and embedded devices History of embedded devices and embedded software Introductory programming concepts that are particularly relevant in the development of embedded software Definitions of fundamental embedded software terminology Topics relevant to embedded systems such as: programmable logic devices, system software security, and software coding standards How embedded devices and embedded software can be deployed in EW systems Commercially available embedded software device Basic understanding of embedded software development through use of a commercially available prototyping platform Understanding of EW, databases, and embedded software to implement a demonstration of system loading and operation Required Materials: Technical Requirements: Student will be issued a laptop, with access to lessons and all course material Student will be provided a Course Handbook (hard copy of all Module slides) Student will utilize textbooks (as referenced in the Syllabus) |
