Learning Objectives: Lead cross-functional projects while facilitating the relationship between the buying organization and the supply base; Assess the marketplace to find suppliers who can provide goods and services to the supply chain; Coordinate specifications gathering and lead the bidding process to obtain and evaluate proposals from companies in the supply chain; Negotiate terms and conditions with prospective suppliers and contractors to maximize the buying organization’s Return on Investment and Cash Flow; Identify and compare various forms of delivery methods and cost to get purchased product where it needs to be at the right time; Analyze the success and failures of the supply base to help decide who to continue to spend money with going forward.
