Learning Objectives: Key optical concepts; Ray tracing and lens prescriptions; Fabrication, alignment, and structural design statics and dynamics; Thermal design heat sources, conduction, convection, radiation, thermal expansion, thermo-optic effects, active cooling, and typical commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) components; System design structural-thermal-optical-performance (STOP) analysis, wavefront, and logistics outfitting system error budgets. Required Materials: Technical Requirements: Copy of course notes & slides to each participant. |
