Learning Objectives: Ask and answer simple questions on selected topics; Use course vocabulary in communicative contexts; Distinguish main ideas from details in short listening exercises on classroom topics; Recognize and use familiar vocabulary in communicative contexts; Be aware of reduced forms in authentic speech SPEAKING SKILLS: Answer questions about main ideas and details of listening passages; Role play in short, common conversational situations; Develop conversation skills by - using common formulaic expressions - practicing vocabulary in listening exercises in contextualized situations - practicing grammar structures orally - imitating simple intonation patterns LISTENING SKILLS: - listen to short, simple passages and short conversations about familiar topics; - answer simple questions about main ideas and details of listening passages Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
