Learning Objectives: Speaking Skills -Use common patterned expressions in casual conversations -Organize information regarding and present on academic and/or business topics -Use drills and graded recordings to practice segmentals, intonation, word stress, sentence stress and rhythm -Demonstrate comprehension about main ideas and details from in-class listenings -Role-play to use new vocabulary according to chapter topics -Give presentations Listening Skills -Practice listening to stressed words and recognize common reduced forms -Listen to lectures and conversations and demonstrate understanding by responding to questions -Use note-taking techniques such as distinguishing between main ideas and details -Recognize basic stress and intonation patterns of English Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
