Learning Objectives: Practice impromptu speaking Practice vocabulary based on the week's listening assignments Complete in-class and outside listening assignments Demonstrate progress in listening comprehension of short stories and lectures with accompanying vocabulary goals in class and at-home assignments Demonstrate progress in the ability to make inferences from expressions, tone of voice, and vocabulary in context Show knowledge of new vocabulary in context Demonstrate awareness of English pronunciation (vowels, consonants, linking, work and sentence stress, intonation, and rhythm) through lab work, graded recordings, meetings with the teacher, and marking texts for pronunciation Apply pronunciation lessons and new vocabulary to small group conversation activities and presentations Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
