Learning Objectives: By the end of this class, students should be able to • ask and answer questions about numbers, statistics, and other information. • speak extemporaneously on selected topics • demonstrate self monitoring for personal pronunciation problems and grammatical accuracy • demonstrate some grammatical accuracy in your spoken English • demonstrate fundamental stress and intonation patterns of English • demonstrate a recognition of organizational styles of development in lectures • identify main ideas and details of a lecture • make inferences from listening • demonstrate comprehension of radio or video recordings by answering questions about them Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
