Learning Objectives: -Define and construct simple, compound and complex sentences -Demonstrate pre-writing techniques such as brainstorming and outlining and several post-writing skills such as revising, proofreading and editing -Write linear, unified, and coherent paragraphs on the following topics in class with the help of resources such as the book, peers, and the teacher: important person, life story, description, definition, and process -Write at least three linear, unified, and coherent paragraphs in a timed situation (50 minutes each without resources) -Demonstrate the ability to write appropriate topic, support and concluding sentences -Use transition words appropriately -Use appropriate grammar and punctuation in your writing with few errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and comma use -Analyze sample essays to learn the basic structure of an essay and how to organize an essay with an outline -Write a five-paragraph essay with an appropriate thesis statement and unified, coherent paragraphs Required Materials: Technical Requirements: |
