Learning Objectives: Research specific popular culture topics independently. Identify, discuss and explain causes and effects of the businesses and their advertising practices chosen for this course. Identify and discuss important people related to the businesses chosen for this course. Describe and discuss Atlanta’s relationship to the businesses chosen for this course. Describe advertising practices in the U.S. Compose artifacts like presentations, blogs, or mock news videos that reflect an accurate understanding of advertising’s effects on popular culture. Compare businesses and advertising in the U.S. to historical events in your own country. Analyze the long-term effects of business and advertising practices.
