Learning Objectives: Understand the importance of note taking to overall comprehension of lectures and discussions. Develop a plan for note taking that includes recall of main points and support. Understand the importance of metacognition strategies on comprehension and develop metacognitive strategies for listening comprehension. Develop skill based strategies and steps for the listening comprehension of academic lectures. Demonstrate comprehension of interactive lecture-based questions and improve in participation of classroom interaction of lectures/academic speeches. Discuss lecture topics in relation to other topics and world events. Use new vocabulary words acquired through lectures in the discussion of text topics. Required Materials: None Technical Requirements: Daily materials will be provided to students |
