This lecture and workshop will introduce students to the
basics of blockchain technology. The workshop will focus
on the security properties of blockchains and different
approaches to implementing these security properties.
Attendees will learn about different consensus mechanisms,
where blockchains are useful, and where blockchains are
inappropriate. The workshop will include a time to dialog
about specific blockchain technologies.
