ESL XTOSL - iBT TOEFL Prep: Speaking (6) |
Students will work on improving their speaking skills by
practicing three kinds of speaking tasks. In the first task
students will be asked to state, explain, and support
their response to a question using personal knowledge and
experience. In the second task students will be asked to
read a short passage and listen to a short talk. They will
then be asked to answer a question combining information
from the talk and reading passage. In the third task,
students listen to a short lecture or conversation. The
students are then asked to summarize key ideas from the
talks in their responses. Students will work on their
ability to use clear, smooth, sustained speech for overall
intelligibility and langauge use that demonstrates control
of grammar and word choice and organization. Proficiency
